How to start a blog

Always wanted to become a blogger but stuck due to technology or ideas? I am going to write a series of articles with video demos to help you overcome these obstacles and become a successful blogger.

The first step to start a blog is to decide the topic of the blog. This is the central idea all your articles will be based on. The topics can be based on any of the 6 common categories below:-

1.Personal Blog

A personal blog is like a personal diary which is accessible to all (which eliminates thepersonal?aspect of a diary but that is what blogging is about) . You can blog about your daily experiences, family, school or how you attained salvation.

2.Top 5/10/30 things (rankings)

This is a very popular blog type. You can rank top restaurants in your area, The tallest buildings in the world or the richest college dropouts.

3.Creative Blog

You should choose this blog if you are good in arts, literature or both. You could post poems you have composed, short stories, your designs, art pieces or sculptures.

4.Hobby Blog

You could blog about your hobbies. If you like to paint, play tennis, make wood sculptures or collect cockroach legs. People are generally very passionate about their hobbies which makes it easier to blog about them.

5.Funny Blog

These blogs are for comedians by nature. You could post funny pictures or jokes you have come across or made yourself. Like troll faces?

6.Business Blog

Blog about your business activities, events, new product launches or topics related to your business field. This draws interested customers to your website.

For your blog to become popular your article has to seem interesting to your reader so that the reader visits your blog again.

Here are some interesting topics:-

  1. Self improvement/Self-Hypnosis
  2. Health & Fitness for Busy People
  3. Language Learning Blogs
  4. How to Travel on a Budget?(Best hotel deals. Car rental. Trip advice.)
